The Council for British Archaeology is an educational charity (Registered Charity No. 287815) which campaigns for the better study and care of Britain’s past.  Your membership will help to ensure that archaeology’s voice is heard where it counts - in Government, the Media, in the Business Community and amongst the general public.

The CBA covers the whole of the United Kingdom – yet cares about what is local through its network of 12 Regional Groups.  (The historic counties of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire are represented by CBASouth-West.)  We are a central point of contact for information about the Historic Environment.  We help all who want to get involved in archaeology and provide advice, information and a range of publications for those who want to explore and interpret their own local surroundings.

National Membership of the CBA including membership of one region chosen by the applicant, is available to individuals and to institutions.  For further information and subscription rates, see the CBA website or contact Council for British Archaeology, St Mary's House, 66 Bootham, York YO30 7BZ.  Telephone: 01904 671417orEmail
